U.S. financial turmoil may slow Singapore's economic growth

SINGAPORE, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's full-year economic growth may dip below its earlier forecast of between 4 and 5 percent due to the impact of the U.S. financial crisis, Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang was quoted by local media on Monday.

Speaking on the sidelines of a business forum, Lim said last week's massive upheavals on Wall Street will lead to tightening credit conditions and slower economic growth around the world, according to local TV Channel NewsAsia reports.
