SINGAPORE: Terminal 1 at Singapore's Changi Airport, which opened in
1981, is to be upgraded. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Takenaka Corporation have signed a contract for the work, estimated to cost S$500 million.
With the concept "Tropical City", the redesign will improve passenger flow and enhance the passenger experience and is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2011.
