Changi contemplates bidding for BAA airports

Cargonews Asia, 21 Aug 2008

Singapore's Changi Airports International (CAI) has stated it will consider buying airports owned by BAA, but will wait for more details before deciding to move forward, Dow Jones reported.

CAI stated their decision would be dependent on price and financial viability.

This week, a UK regulatory group signalled the break-up of airports operator BAA, a unit of Spain's Grupo Ferrovial, when it said the company could be forced to sell three of its airports.

This included two London-based airports
