SINGAPORE, July 2 (Reuters) - Singapore's manufacturing
industry in June expanded for the first time in three months,
with the electronics sector posting a slight increase on new
orders, a private sector industry gauge showed on Wednesday.
The Singapore Institute of Purchasing & Materials
Management said its purchasing managers' index -- a leading
indicator for the manufacturing industry -- stood at 50.6 in
June, up from 49.0 in May.
