SINGAPORE -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) today announced that the Group’s combined mobile customer base in the region has reached 185.34 million as at 31 March 2008.
The Group’s mobile customer base in the eight markets – Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand – rose almost 50% from 123.79 million customers a year ago. Compared to the previous quarter, the increase was 8.0% or a record 13.80 million customers[1].
On a proportionate share basis, the increase was 7.6% or 4.64 million from a quarter ago.
