Doha • The number of travellers from Doha to Singapore rose by 20 percent last year, according to Singapore tourism officials.
A team from the Dubai office of Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Airlines were in Doha this week to highlight the latest product features of Singapore Airlines as well as the wealth of experiences and discovery Singapore has to offer to travellers and businessmen.
In 2007, Singapore's tourism sector hit new heights with 10.3 million visitors spending $9.7 billion in tourism receipts. With a host of new and upcoming events and attractions launching in the near future: Singapore is confident of generating nearly $11bn in tourism receipts and 10.8 million visitor arrivals for 2008.
