THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Singapore Airlines and its regional wing, SilkAir, have come up with new passenger-friendly policy on excess baggage charges, replacing the existing rates which are based on published fares.
The excess baggage charges will be levied from April 1 next by way of a zonal system, based on the originating region and the disembarking region, airline sources said. Currently, customers are charged 1.5 per cent of the highest one-way published economy fare for each excess kilo gram.
