Singapore Airlines is launching the longest scheduled flights in the world in May when it starts service from Newark Liberty Airport to Singapore, the company said today.
Converted Airbus A340-500s will fly the ultra-long-haul trip from Newark Liberty -- a world-record distance of 10,371 miles that takes over 18 to 19 hours, according to a company spokesman.
