Shares in ABC Learning Centres will be suspended from trade for yet another day as talks continue with a potential buyer for parts of the company.

Founder Eddy Groves is still in the US where it's believed he is close to selling the company's American assets of more than 1000 childcare centres, to try to ease ABC's debt crisis.

It is also understood that members of the Singapore -government investment firm Temasek are in Sydney taking a closer look at ABC's Australian business.

Temasek already owns just under 15 per cent of the company, while an American group Lazard Asset Management owns 14 per cent.

Meanwhile Mr Groves' marriage has reportedly collapsed but his wife still remains on the board of the childcare company.
