Taiwan's state-run aerospace company has been forbidden from displaying the name "Taiwan" in an aviation show in Singapore, due to pressure from China.
A company official said Tuesday that the company was also forbidden to show Taiwan's national emblem on its exhibits at the Singapore Airshow 2008. The official said the organizers have even banned the company from showing a DVD recording of a fighter jet naming ceremony presided over by Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian.
China sees Taiwan as part of its territory, even though the two sides have been ruled separately for nearly 60 years.
