Singapore-based IT professional kills daughter and self in holiday resort

A Singapore-based 35-year-old software professional from the city and his 10-year-old daughter were found dead in a resort in Friday night.
Aravinda Reddy was found with his legs tied and a towel gagged in his mouth and a towel round his neck, while Lakshya, a fourth standard student in a private school in JP Nagar, was suspected to have consumed a poisonous substance.
Based on a note ostensibly written by Reddy and addressed to his relatives, police suspect that Reddy fed his daughter a poisonous substance and ended his life, as he could not get over the death of his wife a few years ago due to renal failure. Full story
