We, the citizens of Singapore, pledge ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion, to build a democratic society, based on justice and equality, so as to achieve, happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation.
1. What kind of justice are we talking about? What about the foreigner from China who hijacked a cab and the ambassador's reckless driving who have caused people to die?
What about the suntec city incident? How about the chinese bus drivers who have killed our citizens?
2. Equality? Are we sure that all races are treated equally? Are foreigners treated better by the government and are they made to serve NS? Are Singaporeans able to go into our local univerisities and receive government sponsorship? Are Singaporeans able to get jobs?
Are the poor respected in Singapore, do we truly care about them, and are we sincere in giving welfare to them so that they become equal, not only in status, but materially? Full story
