Comparisons between Yaw’s episode and Palmer’s are rife, as internet users recall how the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) bored down on Workers’ Party (WP) for misleading Hougang constituents during Yaw's episode.
PAP chairman Khaw Boon Wan had said then: "The Workers' Party needs to come clean with the people what information have they got about Mr Yaw and in particular, what did they know about him prior to the May election. And if they know, why did they field Mr Yaw. I think it is sad that the voters have been misled by the Workers' Party."
Some Facebook users have repeated Khaw’s lines with a slight twist, changing the party names and replacing Yaw’s name for Palmer’s to throw the question back at PAP. Full story
