BBC News, 11 Sep 2012The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been formally welcomed to Singapore on the first day of their tour of South East Asia and the South Pacific.
Prince William was accompanied by President Tony Tan to inspect a guard of honour at the presidential palace.
Earlier, the couple viewed an orchid named after the duke's late mother, which she never had a chance to see. Full story
