PM Lee wants South China Sea disputes to be resolve via international law

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia — Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda and Singapore leader Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday urged China and countries in Southeast Asia with competing territorial claims in the South China Sea to resolve their differences via international law, including the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Noda and Lee agreed to promote tieups when the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and its dialogue partners hold their summit in November in Phnom Penh, where the territorial spats are expected to top the agenda, a senior Japanese official said. Full story
