SINGAPORE, June 25 (Reuters) - The central banks of Singapore and Thailand on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will allow banks operating in Thailand to get easier access to Singapore dollar liquidity and vice versa.
"Under this arrangement, eligible financial institutions operating in Singapore may obtain Singapore dollar liquidity from MAS by pledging Thai baht or Thai government and central bank securities with MAS," the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Bank of Thailand (BOT) said in a joint statement.
