Solid figures are hard to come by, but anecdotal evidence suggests that cycling doesn’t seem to be gaining as much traction in Singapore (or other Southeast Asian metropolises, for that matter) as in other global cities. In this part of the world, the car is king of the road, and bicycle commuting is still in its infancy.
That’s all the more surprising in Singapore, a small and densely-populated nation where cycling, at least in theory, should be more popular. Full story
