Imagine being in a foreign land with no money, no job, and worse, no place to live in.
Seven members of the Etoile football club said they are now jobless and owed unpaid wages following the club's withdrawal from the 2012 S-League season on 16 January, reported The New Paper (TNP).
Their situation appears to have come about as a result of the club's pull-out from the S-League, three weeks before the tournament was due to begin, after Etoile's former chairman Johan Gouttefangeas was named the deputy chief executive officer of the S-League.
However, Gouttefangeas short tenure ended after he resigned last Monday following reports of his financial woes in France. Full story
