HDB chief offers interior design tips for shrinking public flat sizes

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) chief executive, Cheong Koon Hean’s message that the shrinking size of public flats doesn’t necessarily mean lower quality of living and offering tips on how to use good interior design and arrange furniture to create a “feeling of space” hasn’t procured the desired outcome.
Instead, the feedback from the young owners has been both negative and concerned, with some worried about the indication that flat sizes would remain small or shrink even further. Full story
