Presidential hopeful Mr Tan Jee Say has dismissed suggestions from the local media that strong support for him from the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) and Singapore’s most popular socio-political blog Temasek Review Emeritus (TRE) will hurt his chances at the presidential poll.
Responding to queries from the local media on the sideline of his walkabout in Chinatown, Mr Tan said that he welcomed them and is not worried that this may put more moderate Singaporeans off from voting for him.
Keeping to his pledge of being a ‘People’s President’, Mr Tan added “It is good that people from all diverse sources are giving me their endorsement. I reach out to everyone. Full story
