SINGAPORE -(Dow Jones)- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (Z74.SG) Thursday said fiscal first-quarter net profit fell 2.9% mainly due to lower contributions from its Indian associate Bharti Airtel Ltd. (532454.BY).
Net profit for the quarter ended June 30 was S$916.2 million, compared with S$943.2 million a year earlier, SingTel said in a statement to the Singapore Exchange. It was also lower than the S$943.8 million forecast by a Dow Jones poll. Full story
