Herald Sun, 7 May 2011
A SINGAPOREAN civilian has died after falling off the Royal Australian Navy ship HMAS Success.
The Department of Defence says the civilian sub-contractor was working on one of the ship's sea boats when he fell 13 metres into the water at five yesterday evening.
Three Navy sailors entered the water and brought the unconscious man to the surface.
A Navy medic provided first aid before an ambulance transferred him to a local hospital where he later died.
The Success is docked in Singapore while it undergoes a double-hull conversion. Full story
