From 1 January 2011, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will impose heavier penalties on cyclists and retailers of motorized bicycles that do not meet LTA’s technical requirements.Most of the fines will be doubled for errant cyclists and suppliers.
Cyclists will face a fine ranging from $100 to $500, up from the current fines of $50 to $200. Full story
