Singapore - An appeals court in Singapore has overturned a lower court, finding devices that record over-the-air broadcast television transmissions for playback online do not infringe copyrights.The lower court found RecordTV guilty of copyright infringement of programs owned by MediaCorp, and dismissed RecordTV's claim against MediaCorp of making groundless threats to bring legal proceedings for copyright infringement.
