Singapore charges American with money laundering

SINGAPORE (AP) — Singapore charged a former U.S. college football player with 21 counts of money laundering on Wednesday, adding to accusations he overstayed his visa that could end in caning and a long prison term.
Prosecutors said that over the past two years Kamari Charlton — a former reserve tight end for Florida State University — received $243,000 that was the proceeds of illegally activity. Full story
