S'pore Army Chief Warned: Disputes Over Islands In South China Sea Should Be Settled Through Dialogues

"We hope any activity or action taken in the South China Sea should be in accordance with international law," said Singapore's Chief of Defence Forces Lt Gen Neo Kian Hong after chairing the 13th FPDA Defence Chiefs' Conference (FDCC), here, Thursday.
He said the territorial disputes there should be handled through dialogues so as to ensure continued stability and security in the region.
Several countries facing the South China Sea, including China, have laid claims on several islands and outcrops in the Spratly and Paracel waters, causing tension in the region. Full story
