Singaporean Attempts Suicide in Bt3.5m Thai Ecstasy Bust

A Singaporean national arrested smuggling more than 4,000-ecstasy pills and other narcotics across the Thai-Malaysian border on Tuesday reportedly later attempted suicide, according to customs officials.
Customs arrested Singaporean national, Ang Beng Bee [46], after a random inspection of the vehicle he was travelling in uncovered him in possession of approximately 4,384 ecstasy pills, one gram of crystal methamphetamine and five Erimin 5 tablets (nimetazepam). The estimated street value of the narcotics equates to over Bt3.5 million. Full story
