Migration costs to Singapore have increased by four times in a decade, touching to Tk 700,000 as fat commission by job intermediaries is pushing up expenses, officials and workers said.The costs, which ranged from Tk 150,000 to 250,000 in the past, has ballooned to Tk 0.5 million in recent days, they said, with manpower agents exploiting the potential migrant workers. Some workers had to end up in paying as high as Tk 650,000.
