Singapore GIC ups stock holdings, to focus on Asia

SINGAPORE, Sept 27 (Reuters) - The Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC), which manages more than $200 billion, raised its equity holdings in its last financial year and said it will put a larger portion of its funds in emerging market.
"GIC started to selectively take on more risk from the second quarter of 2009, amidst growing confidence in the economic recovery," Deputy Chairman and Executive Director Tony Tan said on Monday. Full story
