KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said on Tuesday it was unfair to accuse Umno leaders of harping on the Malay superiority issue.Dr Chua was commenting on the latest remark by Singapore statesman Lee Kuan Yew, describing Malaysia as being in a "most unhappy situation".
In an interview with the New York Times on Sept 1, Lee among others said that unlike Singapore, that suppressed its Chinese culture, Malaysia took a different line of development with Malaysians seeing it as a Malay country where all others are "orang tumpangan" (lodgers). Full story
