H1N1 Mutates, Resists Tamiflu

The H1N1 strain has started showing signs of mutation and has started resisting the drug Tamiflu. In a development in Singapore, a woman who was infected with swine flu showed resistance to the drug and the virus seemed to have mutated itself in such a way that the drug could not affect the virus.
The woman had initially recovered from the virus but within the next 48 hours of recovery the mutation started showing its ugly head. On being administered Tamiflu, the virus did not show any signs of weakening and in fact its resistance to the drug grew. Full story
