Gangs in UK buying Apple iPhone 4s to sell abroad

Runners queue overnight outside the shops on behalf of businessmen in order to buy the new iPhone 4.
Since it is not necessary to sign a contract with a service provider the devices can be sold abroad at huge profit where they are not yet available on sale.
The phones cost between £499 and £599 and can be used on networks around the world, including the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe where they are not sold yet.
Customers in Dubai, Singapore, South Africa, Russia, India and China will pay up to £400 more than the UK retail price due to the scarcity of the phones in those regions. Full story
