Singapore to train Afghans to combat corruption

SINGAPORE, Jul. 31, 2010 (Kyodo News International) -- Singapore, known for its squeaky clean image, will collaborate with Japan to help war-torn Afghanistan train its civil servants in combating corruption.
The training in anti-corruption and public governance will be offered under an existing Japan-Singapore partnership program for joint technical assistance to developing countries, Singapore's Foreign Ministry said earlier this week.
Afghan officials are expected to come to Singapore for training, while Japan will provide some financing and also dispatch an official to Singapore to help out, other sources said. Full Story
