1.4 handsets per person in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Singapore has a total population of nearly 5 million, while the number of mobile phones in use here has reached 7.02 million as of June this year, local media reported on Wednesday. This means an average of 1.4 handsets per person here. Of these, 40 percent of the mobile phones are smart phones.
