Singapore Expects GDP to Grow up to 15 Pct in 2010

Singapore expects its economy to soar 15 percent this year after surging manufacturing fueled a record expansion in the second quarter.
Gross domestic product grew 19.3 percent in the second quarter from a year earlier and jumped an annualized seasonally-adjusted 26 percent, the Trade and Industry Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
The city-state's economy will likely expand between 13 percent and 15 percent this year, more than the government's previous forecast of growth between 7 percent and 9 percent, the ministry said. Full Story
