The economic turnaround of Singapore – now expecting to achieve growth this year of 15 percent – must be one of the most remarkable economic recoveries ever seen. By comparison, in the first quarter of 2009, the GDP of Singapore contracted by 11.5 percent.
Even Lee Kuan Yew was quoted as saying the recovery would take three to six years.*
