Singapore Manufacturing Output Growth Accelerates In May

(RTTNews) - Singapore’s manufacturing output grew 58.6% in May from the previous year, the Economic Development Board said in a report on Friday. That follows 49.7% increase seen in April. Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output grew 30.6%.
Data showed that output of the biomedical manufacturing cluster surged 117% annually in May. Electronics output were up 51.8% and growth in precision engineering cluster was 40.5%. The chemicals cluster’s output grew 19.6% and general manufacturing output climbed 18.5%. Meanwhile, the transport engineering cluster’s output grew only 0.3%. Full Story
