(RTTNews) - Singapore bank lending increased for the seventh consecutive month in May, data from the Monetary Authority of Singapore showed Wednesday. Total bank lending rose 1.5% month-on-month in May to S$292.49 billion.
Loans to businesses totaled S$157.73 billion, up 1.7% from April. Consumer loans increased to S$134.76 billion from S$132.88 billion in April. Within the consumer loans, housing loans were up 2% to US$98.55 billion. Full Story
