KOTA KINABALU: The Borneo Heritage Foundation (BHF) and the Common Interest Group Malaysia (CigMa), two non-profit entities, will jointly organise a one-day forum themed 'Formation of Malaysia Revisited' at Beverly’s Hotel here on July 31.The Cobbold Commission Report, the 20 Points/18 Points, the Inter-Governmental Reports (IGC), the Malaysia Agreement 1963, the 11th-hour withdrawal of Brunei, the separation of Singapore from the young federation in 1965, and series of amendments to the Federal Constitution will all be discussed.
Among the invitees are former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, former Sabah Chief Ministers Peter Lo and Harris Salleh, former Sarawak Minister Amar James Wong, Prof Dr Ranjit Singh, Karim Ghani, and former Malaysian human rights commissioner Simon Sipaun. Full Story
