Singapore Industrial Output Beats Analysts’ Forecast

April 26 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore’s industrial production grew at a faster pace than analysts estimated, bolstering an economic recovery that has prompted the central bank to allow the currency to strengthen.
“The surge in manufacturing activity was due to strong bio-medical production and a resurgence in semiconductor chips production” that was helped by an improvement in external demand, said Alvin Liew, an economist at Standard Chartered Plc in Singapore. Full Story
