Cloud demand prompts Amazon to Singapore

SURGING demand for Amazon's cloud services has forced the internet giant to open a regional office and data centre in Singapore to service the Asia Pacific region.
Cloud computing services are delivered via Amazon Web Services (AWS), an arm of Amazon.com.
Local customers previously keen on using AWS would have had to rely on its data centres in the US or Europe, said Andy Jassy, AWS global vice-president, during a visit to Sydney. Full Story
