SINGAPORE, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Figures from the Singapore Law Society's annual report showed that there were 3,697 practicing lawyers here as of this August, the highest number in five years.
According to a report by local newspaper the Straits Times on Thursday, the growth in numbers is not matched by a growth in the number of firms though as there are only 781 companies now compared to 800 five years ago.
