Port Tanjung Pelepas is acknowledged as one of the best ports in the world, and remains a serious threat to Port of Singapore Authority. Syed Umar Ariff calls at the port for a tour of its state-of-the-art facilities.
Although Port of Singapore Authority remains the top berthing spot today, while PTP is ranked only as the 27th busiest port in the world, PTP is considered one of the world's best ports and competes directly with its Singapore rival.
