SIA keeps cutting capacity but still not as fast as traffic drops

Traffic numbers are in for June, and Singapore Airlines cuts in capacity amounting to some 14.4% still are not offsetting the sharp drops in passenger numbers, as planes now fly three-quarters full.
Singapore Airlines carried 1.3 million passengers in the month of June 19.2% less than they were a year earlier, and with load factors dropping 3.5% planes are flying at 75.7% full.
The airline also confirms that cheap fares aren’t sustainable, noting that “aggressive competition” and “promotional fare activities” over the last few months have seriously hurt yields.
