SingTel eyes purchases, higher stakes in associates

SINGAPORE, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Singapore Telecommunications (STEL.SI), Southeast Asia's biggest telecoms firm, said on Tuesday that it will continue to look for acquisitions and is keen to increase its stakes in associate companies.

"We continue to look for good acquisitions," SingTel CEO Chua Sock Koong told journalists. "Clearly, we are not in a big rush, given the global uncertainties."
