MELBOURNE: The killer bushfires that swept across Victoria last week have been blamed on a Singapore company.
Singapore Power International Private Limited now faces a class action suit, where it could be made to pay up to A$100 million (RM237 million) to claimants.
Singapore Power International, one of the island's republic largest companies, owns 51 per cent of SP AusNet which manages the electricity transmission lines in Victoria and other parts of southeast Australia.
