The Saphia International JSC started sending its first 800m3 of sand to Sa Ky Port in Binh Chau Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province.
Reportedly, more than 20,000m3 of sand, worth US$ 3.5 a cubic meter, will be shipped to Singapore on February 15th.
This volume of sand is part of the sand dredged to upgrade the Lo Estuary on the Ve River in the area. About VND 200 billion earned from exporting the sand will be spent by the Saphia Company to build an over-2km long sea dyke in order to prevent the seashore in the area from eroding.
