SINGAPORE, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Singapore advised retailers on Friday to remove a brand of China-made yogurt bars from shelves after a Hong Kong food safety panel found low levels of melamine contamination.
In China, 6,244 children have become ill, with four dead and 158 suffering "acute kidney failure" after consuming milk powder tainted with melamine, a banned chemical used in making plastics.
