Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (MER) has just sliced through the $22.50 share price level at which the company had made a big offering back in late July.
On July 29th, Merrill raised 8.5 billion dollars in new capital through a public offering, and said Singapore’s state-owned investment fund Temasek had accounted for 3.4 billion dollars of the offer. Temasek had previously paid $6.2 billion for an initial 9.4% stake in Merrill in December 2007, and then followed up with another $6.6 billion investment in January 2008.
