F-1 Host Fees Reach $404 Million, Exceed TV Rights, Report Says

Sept. 2 (Bloomberg) -- New Formula One races in Spain and Singapore helped the sport attract higher hosting fees than broadcasting revenue for the first time in 2008, according to a report by U.K.-based Formula Money.

Payments for the rights to hold races in the most-watched motor sport increased to $403.5 million -- more than $23 million above global television rights fees this year, the report said.
